Jonathan Ghikas
I'm Jonathan Gregory Ghikas — a Tanzanian wildlife scientist, TTLB-licensed guide, and founder of Ghikas Adventures. Born and raised in Morogoro, I built Trusted Tanzania Host because too many investors, NGOs, and diaspora professionals arrive here and lose months (and money) to unreliable middlemen.
Before founding Trusted Tanzania Host, I spent years in the field as a wildlife researcher and safari guide — surveying wildlife and tourism carrying capacity at Saanane Island National Park, conducting ecology fieldwork at Tarangire, and guiding safaris at Mikumi National Park since 2024. I hold a BSc in Wildlife Science and Conservation from the University of Dar es Salaam, and a Safeguarding and Child Protection certification — grounding in exactly the kind of careful, accountable local work that charities, NGOs and investors need on the ground in Tanzania.
I've also helped establish the Tanzania Landscape Restoration Organisation and served as a member of the Wildlife Conservation Society of Tanzania — hands-on conservation work that shapes how I approach every engagement, from mineral-field guidance to real estate scouting.
Every engagement is handled personally. I don't oversell what I can deliver, and I tell you plainly when something is outside my lane — which is exactly why clients keep coming back.
